Stacey Herbert

Stacey is The Dog Spa owner, head groomer, and grooming instructor for aspiring groomers! She is a distinguished graduate of The Nash Academy of Animal Arts, class of 1987. She has over 30 years of experience in the grooming industry, and opened her first salon at just 23 years old. The Dog Spa is her 4th salon she’s owned! Not only does she run the salon, she is also an instructor through Nash Academy and The Dog Spa Academy! The salon became a Nash Approved Training Site in 2011. Stacey only teaches in person now but has been an online instructor as well! She grooms many show dogs that compete in the ring, her favorites include Irish Water Spaniels & Löwchens. Her favorites breeds to groom include those listed before, plus Airedales and Bearded Collies! Stacey is also a real estate agent in NY and NJ- talk about jack of all trades! When she’s not running the show, you can find her outdoors, hiking, skiing, on her motorcycle or bird watching! She also enjoys spending time with her husband Tony, 3 kids, TJ, Caroline, & Shannon, and 3 dogs, Tazo, Tucker, & Arno! Stacey has positively impacted many people, we are so grateful that she is our boss, not only is she an amazing groomer but a great mentor and friend!

Rachel Catone 

Rachel is one of our groomers and a big part of our team! She is a second generation groomer and the daughter of Kathleen Catone! Starting out as a bather here in 2018, she decided to follow her moms footsteps and was trained under Stacey and Kathleen. She has diplomas from both The Dog Spa Academy and Nash Academy! Throughout the year she attends grooming conventions and seminars to continue her knowledge! She is our go to person for all the new products in the grooming industry! She enjoys grooming terriers (hand stripping) and Bichon Frises! When she’s not grooming, she’s home with her Chi mix, Bea and her Bichon Frise, Pierre! We are so grateful to have Rachel a part of our team and to see how far she goes in her grooming career!

Bobbi Glennon

I’m Bobbi, I am a groomer here at The Dog Spa and also the person behind our social media! I’m a second generation groomer, I started bathing for my mom when I was eleven! After nine years of bathing in salons and a mobile van, I decided to attend grooming school. I was taught under the Nash Academy curriculum by Stacey and Kathleen! I graduated September 2022 and was hired by Stacey! I am forever grateful to Stacey and Kathleen for believing in me! I’ve worked on all different breeds but my favorite to groom is Standard poodles! I like doing breed standard haircuts, Asian fusion, or any fun trims! I also do creative grooming here at the salon! I attend grooming conventions/seminars throughout the year to continue my education and plan on competing in grooming competitions soon! When I’m not working with your pups I’m at home with my boyfriend Nick, and my two dogs, a Chinese Crested Dallas & a Dachshund Austin, who both come to work with me! Sue Connolly

Susan has been in the pet grooming industry for 6 years. She has worked as a professional bather, bather trainer, and is now a grooming apprentice. Much like a canvas must be prepped for a painting, it’s Susan who preps dogs for grooming by bathing, drying, de-matting, and otherwise pampering them. Susan is passionate about animals big and small! When she's not at the salon, she enjoys life at home with her husband Kenny, dog Karma and cat Mama! She looks forward to pampering your pups!

Kaela Shephard

Kaela is our front desk receptionist as well as our go to assistant! She greets your pups everyday and for most of them, their favorite person in our salon! She not only has experience with dogs but was also employed by Van Saun Zoo where she worked alongside many different animals! She joined The Dog Spa team in 2020! She loves all breeds but her favorites include Dalmatians, Huskies, Mini Schnauzers, Westies and her top favorite the Australian Shepherd (ironic since her last name is Shepard!) She has always been around dogs from a young age, has three dogs, Roscoe, Norman and Forrest! She loves all of the dogs here and they reciprocate the same love back to her!
